Window Covering Pricing is Rising
I put out this video on July 11th, 2021 because I want my clients and friends to be able to get the most bang for their buck when spending their money. The value of cash is diminishing right now and as a result window covering companies are bumping up their pricing.

Shipping Prices
It is not just supply chain issues that are being used as the “reason” for escalating prices. It is also due to economic reasons as well. The media likes to say that inflation is all the way up to 3 or 4%, but our reality is that it is closer to 8-10%. This is a big part of why window covering suppliers are raising their pricing in August of 2021. But, another cost, which is not discussed much is the cost of shipping.
Shipping costs are exploding as well. Not only is it sometimes taking an extended amount of time to receive the packages, but costs are going up across the board. In the last year, I received notice that window coverings wider than 90” would be charged a surcharge. This used to be only for widths over 96”. Why did that change? My guess is that the shipping companies started adjusting their pricing and my suppliers passed it on to us.
I just got an update from one of my suppliers that the cost of shipping is going up to almost double what it was. So, what is the final takeaway? If you are thinking about doing a large project I’d suggest jumping on it immediately. If you wait, then choosing the right company to work with will make sure that you are getting the best value for your hard earned money. Thanks for reading our blog.
