How We Select Custom Drapery Fabrics
When someone makes an appointment with a drapery designer, like us, they should be prepared to spend a good amount of time making their selections. It is common for our clients to spend about 3 hours with us on their choices. The most time intensive part of the process is the fabric selection. We don’t go over that list above point by point. Rather, we look at fabrics and see whether the client likes it and then we make sure it will work for the style they select.
Custom Drapery Fabrics Provide Unique Looks
As a quick example, the client may select a gorgeous chenille fabric for their draperies. This raises immediate issues in the designer’s head ( Mine!). Will this heavy fabric drape well? Will it stack back in a reasonable amount of space? There are tons of thoughts like this that the client is counting on the designer helping them figure out. This is just one example of the various issues that might arise when selecting a custom drapery fabric.
These issues are so important when selecting custom drapery fabrics. If the client is spending their money on window treatments, they want to be sure that it is well spent. A good custom drapery designer can help the customer feel confident about their purchases and then have years of enjoyment from them.
