We created this video as a cautionary tale. We were hired by a very nice family to help them with their window treatments. We selected a horizontal stripe fabric that coordinates perfectly with their room and the feel of their home.
Here is where the story gets interesting. We sent the fabric to one of our suppliers and they called us with concerns about the fabric. They couldn’t assure us that the horizontal stripe would be evenly placed. They were worried that the pleating machine would take up the fabric unevenly. If Kempler Design didn’t have options, the client would have received a faulty roman shade or we would’ve had to change fabrics.

We have been in business since 1993, and over the years we have created many contacts with different suppliers and manufacturers. We were able to use these connections to send the fabric to an alternate fabricator. As you can see in the video, the workmanship of the company that built it for us, is perfect.
I have theories about why the original company failed to perform, but the point is that it is important that you work with an expert who is able to make your wishes in window treatments come true. This job took a bit longer than normal, due to cancelling our original plans, but the client is thrilled with the results.
Who you work with makes a huge difference. You can probably imagine how these custom roman shades would have worked out had we not been meticulous in our preparation. We work hard to make sure that our clients are extremely happy with their custom window treatments.
