Cordless Lift systems are all the rage. Companies like Hunter Douglas, Norman Window Fashions and many others are competing to come up with the best systems. Here is what I had to say about the new Cordless Lift system for Soluna Roller Shades from Norman Shutters. This quote is taken from our YouTube page.

Cordless Roller Shades

Most roller shade companies offer a modern cordless lift system. I like the one from Norman Window Fashions. They call it “cordless lift”. When you watch the video, notice the nice folding handle that helps you to raise and lower the roller shades.

Some companies have handles that are attached to the bottom rail of the roller shade. This is OK, but it can take away from the cleanness of the look, if you can see the mechanism. Here is my one negative on any cordless lift system. If you can’t reach the top of the window, it means you have three choices.

1. Use a stepstool every time you want to raise or lower your shades.

2. Get and use a wand to reach up the the bottom of the shade.

3. Keep the shades cordless, but add powered controls, or motorization.

The right choice depends on a closer analysis of your actual circumstances. If you would like assistance for your window treatments, contact a window fashions expert that you trust.

Whichever way you decide to go on your roller shades, make sure you have all the necessary information. Cordless is popular, but there are so many other viable choices for you to consider. I suppose that is why people enjoy our consultation. We try to make sure that you are informed as to all the options. And then, we explain what each choice will mean to you.
