Roman Shades- A Modern Version

People have been ordering roman shades for a long time. Something like 2000 years or so. But the new version is a great choice for our modern life. Check out this Hybrid version of roman shades in the attached video.

These Roman Shades are made by Hunter Douglas Window Fashions. It is part of the Vignette Modern Roman Shade line. Like many of the Hunter Douglas product line, they are adding a hybrid option. You have a choice of many different fabrics on the front side. You can choose a sheer or a light filtering fabric and then the “Boom!” factor hits. When you watch the video, you will see a light blocking fabric, called “room darkening” by Hunter Douglas, lowering to the bottom of the window.

This gives you the option of natural light coming into the room through the roman shades or the ability to make the room much darker. Here’s a note to keep in mind. With this style of Roman Shades, you can only order them with the automation option, called PowerView. If you want a different hybrid style shade done in manual operation, then it is worth looking into other options. There are plenty out there and we can assist you with the search.
