Does The Norman Smart Drape Come As A Split Draw?

N0, it doesn’t. But it doesn’t mean that you can’t make it act as such. The Smart Drape is made as a one way stack. This means that all the fabric will stack to only one side of the headrail, but if you put a mirrored panel to the opposite side, you will see that it functions as a split draw shade. Please watch the video to see how it works in reality.

Details of the Split Stack Norman Smart Drape

It comes in Wand Control ONLY. You can’t get it with a cord draw. This has relevance to using the Smart Drape as a split draw. If you noticed the video, the customer has to use the wands on each side of the center independently. A true split draw with cords pulls both sides of the panels at the same time. Is this a problem? No, but you need to know about this before you purchase the split stack Smart Drape

Smart Drape in Sheer Position

The other thing to be aware of with the split stack Norman Smart Drape is the gap that will exist when the two panels are in the sheer position. If you look at the second picture, you can see the gap if you look carefully. It is not a huge gap, but again, you need to know that it exists before purchasing it.

I have not heard of any complaints from any of our clients, but if you need the sheer to be consistent across the entire opening, then you might want to go with a one-way Smart Drape.

One more thing that I find to be important to know is that the wands are placed behind the fabric, instead of in front of them like in the One Way draw Smart Drape. When you watch the video, you will see the the client has to reach behind it to grab the wand. Again, one more thing that you need to be aware of.

Summary of the Smart Drape Split Draw

The split stack Norman Smart Drape is a great product that lots of our clients are loving. These are some of the major things that you should consider when you are learning about this product. There are so many other factors to consider, like the sizes that can be ordered, or the way to clean them. For today, my fingers are tired, so I’m done. But when we work with you personally, you will have all the information that will help you make the perfect choice of window coverings.
