Wood shutters are as popular as ever. When choosing shutters for your home, there are so many things to consider. Here is what the description in our YouTube channel says about the video posted here:
“Hunter Douglas Heritance Shutters are a beautiful addition to this Lake Tahoe Home. When you are ordering shutters, you have to decide what frame choice to use. Often, Lake Tahoe homes use beautiful wood trim and an extra frame on the shutters is superfluous. Notice how a direct mount was used on these stained wood shutters. If these were done with a rear hang strip, they would look the same. It adds to the look. Addition by subtraction.”
As well as frame choices, here are some other things that you will have to choose:
- Material – Wood, Vinyl, Aluminum, Composite
- Painted or Stained
- Color of finish
- Framing- If required
- Size of Louver
- Divider Rails, Split Tilt or None
- Speciality Finishes- Sandblasting, Glazing, Distressing
- Species of Wood
- and a million more things…
Clearly, the most important thing you need to select when you are doing shutters is the right designer and the right installer. Our customers appreciate the consultation that we give. Our goal is to help you make the right choices with your window treatments.
