Plantation Shutters Tilt Options

For years, the way that plantation shutters were able to tilt was by means of Tilt Rods. In the video below, you will see this traditional look as well as another option. I will show you the various choices here.

When you look at the graphic that is attached, you are seeing 4 different options for plantation shutters and their tilt options. From left to right you are seeing:

  1. Standard Tilt Bar
  2. Offset or Side Tilt- Can be done on the front or the back side. (These are done differently by various fabricators)
  3. Invisible Tilt- The mechanisms for the tilt operation are inside the stiles of the shutter.
  4. Motorized Tilt- The technical aspect of motorized versions are again subtly different depending on who makes it.
