Changing Hunter Douglas PowerView Pebble Batteries

Last week we did a tutorial on how to change surface mount batteries. You can read the blog here. https://www.kemplerdesign.com/window-treatment-ideas/motorization/changing-batteries-for-hunter-douglas-powerview-surface-mount/

Today we are changing batteries too, but in this video you can watch the entire process as Paul Kempler, owner of Kempler Design in Reno, NV performs the task.

Keep in mind that PowerView products are constantly going through adjustments. For example, the method for opening the back of the remote might be different than what is seen in the video. Currently, the new remotes have a coin slot opening. When opening that type, use a coin and not a screwdriver. The plastic is a little soft and the sharp edges of tools can cause the groove to get damaged.

One other note. If you change the batteries, test the remote control before you reinsert the puck into the pebble or surface mount. This will save you the steps of removing the puck again.
