The Smartdrape Headrail Colors

Smartdrape Headrail

I like the look of the Norman Window Fashions Smartdrape. It is beautiful and functional. Some of the little details make it even better. Take a look at the Smartdrape headrail to the left and notice how the contrasting fabric and headrail make for a very custom look. We have spend a lot of time talking about the Smartdrape as a product in general, but this is the first time I’ve dug into the headrail itself.

The headrail is very sturdy and smooth. When you are traversing the drape, it takes very little effort to move it. And now for a bit more information.

Rotation of the Smartdrape Headrail

When you are rotating the panels, it takes a little more effort. You will be grabbing the wand and twisting it. The bottom of the wand has a great attachment on it that makes twisting it easier, but it still takes effort. So, while it would work for 99% of people, you need to be aware of this if you have weakness in your hands. I’ve had clients in the past that have had arthritis and other finger conditions that limit their ability to grab and maneuver mechanisms.

I’m not overly concerned about it for most people, but I feel like it needs to be stated about the Smartdrape headrail to prevent you from buying something that you would have issues with.

Color Choices

If you look at the colors to the left, you will see the options. They have formal names, but I’d use these as your guide:

Black, Bronzy, Off-White and White are your choices. Now a moment of opinion. I wish that the manufacturer, Norman Window Fashions would make more options in terms of color. For example, if you look at the latest trends in hardware, you’ll notice that the warm gold colors are popping up and that would be a fantastic new color for them to develop. Overall, the Smartdrape is one of my favorite new products. My clients love it too!
