Circumstances dictate, but there are more limitations to vinyl blinds than to wood blinds. If you are choosing a white colored blind, then the differences are more subtle. In fact, Kempler Design sells more white vinyl blinds than wood blinds. But, when we help someone choose, they are making their choice based on facts. As the video showed, the vinyl blinds, which were purchased from a Box Store Type Blinds from Amazon, are a dark color. The intense Nevada sun baked into the darker, heat absorbing color and completely warped the blinds. I’ve seen many dark colored vinyl blinds do this. Brand doesn’t matter. I suppose that dark colored vinyl blinds will work in some places, but southern and western exposures here in Reno and up in Tahoe are not the places. So, if someone wants a dark wood color, I always suggest getting real wood blinds.
