Sportcoat Pleat
Kempler Design is pleased to introduce the “Sportcoat Pleat”. This is the perfect pleat style for side panel draperies where a unique pleat style is desired. Like a fashion accessory, you are able to add a blast of color to the pleat, like a stylish shirt under a sportcoat in clothing fashion. I designed this pleat last year and coordinated with my workroom to come up with first sample. Like many designs, it was created through some experimentation. It may not be completely new, but after doing a lot of research, I was unable to come up with any pleat style that looked like it, so I’m claiming it as my own. The cost to produce this pleat is about double of a standard pinch pleating, but if done correctly, it provides a designer touch to otherwise traditional draperies. What do you think?
