The next generation of motorization for Hunter Douglas; PowerView™ Motorization started shipping. PowerView™ Motorization offers
greater intelligence and precision, new control options and app for a better user experience. This intelligent motorization system
replaces PowerRise® and PowerGlide® systems. PowerView Motorization has proprietary bi-directional radio communication that
provides better reliability.
PowerRise will continue to be sold until spring of 2016 and then be discontinued
in North America (but will continue to be sold internationally). PowerRise and
PowerView Motorization are not compatible. Remotes and other PowerRise
accessories cannot be used with PowerView Motorization nor vice-versa. Battery
wands and power supplies are interchangeable.
The PowerView Pebble™ Remote is a radical change from the current system and
offers a number of new features and benefits. The Remote Module is available in
black or white and fits inside the ergonomically designed Pebble™ and is available in
seven colors to complement the consumer’s décor. The remote module can also be
used in a surface mount for mounting to a wall.
The remote features six GROUP buttons, an ALL button, OPEN, CLOSE and STOP buttons, LEFT and RIGHT ARROW buttons for
vane direction and a heart FAVORITE button for shade position. The FAVORITE button sends the shade to a pre-determined location
that can be programmed with the remote (the default Favorites position is 50% of the shades travel). The vane direction buttons are
also new. They allow the vanes on products like Silhouette® and Pirouette® window shadings to be open and closed with precision
and controls vane rotation on Luminette® Privacy Sheers. On products like Top-Down/Bottom-Up and Duolite™, the arrows control the
middle rail with the OPEN and CLOSE buttons controlling the bottom rail.

The PowerView App and Hub offer advanced features compared to the Platinum™ App. With bi-directional communication, the shade
tells the App what position the shade is in and even notes when the batteries have run low. Another great feature of the app is shade
discovery. Instead of programming the App with the type of shade you are adding and then syncing each individual shade, pressing
the Discover button sends a signal to all PowerView Motorization shades to report back. So you can install a room of PowerView
Motorization shades, press the Discover button and the App is then automatically updated with the shade you have installed.
The Hub is a significant improvement over the PowerRise® Bridge, with increased memory and an RS232 port to connect to home
automation systems. Remote Connect, which allows you control your shades from anywhere in the world you have an internet
connection, is also part of the package.
The PowerView Pebble Scene Controller fits into the same Pebble the Remote Module does. It features an advanced display screen
that lets you conveniently preview and select room scenes—different combinations of shades and shade positions—you previously
programmed using the PowerView App.
